About the event
Across Adelaide’s thriving new suburbs of the swinging 60s, people were ‘getting their houses off the hook’ – building affordable, innovative, architect-designed project homes that adapted professional modernist design principles to the broader building industry.
The Lapins House in Highbury is a superb example of Australia’s golden age of modernist project homes, built in 1966 to architect John Campbell’s Glenbrook design for A.V. Jennings Industries.
Highbury Modern opens the doors to this remarkably original mid-century modern house that’s filled with natural light and unique period finishes and features – all meticulously documented and maintained for over 50 years.
Tickets are strictly limited and bookings essential. Ticketholders will be emailed the address several days beforehand.
